Harry Bosch and the Lincoln Lawyer team up to exonerate a woman who’s already served five years for killing her ex-husband. Hunting Time is clearly the best Colter Shaw novel yet, and is highly recommended to thriller aficionados who want good writing, constant building suspense, and spine-chilling story-line with a unanticipated dénouement. Deaver is a master and if it were possible, this novel deserves more than 5 stars. Jeffery Deaver was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1950. He was born from a mother who was a homemaker, and a father that worked as an advertising copywriter, which seems a bit of foreshadowing. He has one younger sister named Julie Deaver. A very interesting fact is that he actually completed his first (two chapter) book when he was as young as eleven years old.

So, as her husband and a couple of trigger happy thugs go on the chase Colter is searching too, desperately hoping that he’ll get to her first. But hang on a minute… this is a Jeffery Deaver novel, so everything won’t be quite as you expect it to be. Officer Rhyme’s works to locate the identity of the serial killer, so that the case can go to trial and end in a conviction. While some readers may find the complexity of the plot and the abundance of twists overwhelming at times, those who enjoy thrillers with intricate narratives will find "Hunting Time" to be a satisfying and rewarding read. The finale is a masterstroke, leaving readers stunned and eager for more. Deaver`s reputation as a master of the corkscrewing plot is well earned... Colter Shaw seems certain to become an enduring series lead. Bear in mind that Allison Parker is an engineer who is responsible for some pretty spectacular new technology. It’s the type of technology that is worth stealing and, potentially, the type of technology that’s worth killing for. Layers upon layers. The ensuing chase that pits Jon’s cunning against Shaw’s resourcefulness towards finding Allison and her uncooperative daughter—made deadlier by the couple of nasty, creepy characters hired by Jon—throws up several surprises, making it hard for anybody to trust anybody, and builds up towards an explosive climax.
