Available in two different colour options, the Absolute model comes with an HEPA filter and they come complete with a clutch. As a result, it’s suitable for all floors. 7. Dyson DC04 De Stijl

A DC04 is easier to empty, easier to use with the tools, the tools are stored on-board in a more sensible way, and it is just a nicer machine to use than the earlier models. The most colourful model in the range, the De Stijl vacuum is slightly heavier than the others. It comes with a clutch and an HEPA filter. Durable and lightweight To access this filter, simply push a two-pence coin between the lips on the side of the storage compartment and twist the coin to pop it open. This will remove the lid, allowing you to access the post-motor filter. Released in 1998, the Dyson DC04 featured brand new upgraded filters. The company actually decided to make quite a few changes to this model. One of the biggest enhancements was the washable pre-motor filters. The placement of the filter also changed to the top of the cyclone.

Now let's look at replacing the post-motor filter, which is stored at the base of the machine above the floor tool and beneath the canister. A Dyson DC04 vacuum cleaner has two filters, a pre-motor filter and a post-motor filter. Let's start with the pre-motor filter, which can be found at the top of the removable bin canister. To access this filter, you'll first need to remove the canister from the vacuum cleaner by pressing the release clip at the top. Sometimes, a Dyson DC04 wont stand upright. This makes it ideal for use on all types of flooring. It features a post motor filter rather than an HEPA filter and comes in the classic grey and yellow Dyson colour scheme. 3. Dyson DC04 Limited Edition While these filters can last a lifetime, we recommend changing them every couple of years for optimal performance nonetheless. Again, replacing this filter is super easy. Simply remove the old filter and place the new one in its place.

The DC04i comes in a blue and grey colour and it’s the next one up from the basic model. It’s actually a rare model as not too many were made. Like the basic, it doesn’t have a clutch so it’s mainly suitable for carpets rather than hard flooring. 6.
