But what are the best value Boarding Patrols for the money? You can actually save quite a bit of money with some of these (assuming that these models are the models you want). I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the Space Marine Boarding Action because it basically seemed like you were buying Heavy Intercessors and Assault Intercessors, and got an HQ unit free. Good if you like it, but kinda bland. But the other boxes, which have been announced but are not yet available for sale, look like really great values. What are the Best Value Boarding Patrols?

Earlier this week GW announced 4 more Boarding Patrol boxed sets are coming. Today, we’re taking a closer look at how many points each has inside the box. We’re also going to decide if these are worth snagging one copy (a Peat), multiple copies (a Repeat), or should you just wait on them (No-peat). Genestealer Cults propagate across the galaxy by stowing away in transport vessels and settling in for the long haul, or forcefully commandeering ships. This skilled insurgent team is made up of a Kelemorph, an Abominant, five Aberrants, and 10 Acolyte Hybrids – who can also be built as Hybrid Metamorphs. Imperial Knights Dice Set and Chaos Knights Dice Set The Raven Guard were the first Legion to test the now ubiquitous Mark VI ‘Corvus’ Pattern armour. These upgrades let you equip your units with retro-style prototype helmets, and shoulder pads embellished with their corvine emblem. Alpha Legion MKVI Upgrades This set also contains a skittering Venomcrawler, two hulking Obliterators, and 10 Chaos Cultists who are waaay out of their depth on Team Vashtorr, facing down 10 Intercessors and five Deathwing Terminators who make up Azrael’s honour guard. You also get two Dark Angels Primaris Upgrade frames and a set of 155 Dark Angels transfers. Vashtorr Dice Set

Updated 40k Boarding Patrol Boxes: What’s the Value?

Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Though masters of subterfuge and disguise, the Alpha Legion nevertheless had their own heraldry when waging war. Outfit your troops with helmets and shoulders that feature the intricate patterns and writhing hydra motif of the XX Legion. Character Heads Upgrade Sets

Great online store for board games. They always arrive perfectly and undamaged which is important to me. I think that the whole concept of Boarding Patrols is weird, and I think it goes along with my feelings of the current Kill Team campaign: it seems like it wants to be Space Hulk for all the factions, but they have never gone full Space Hulk (Terminators vs Genestealers.) I suppose if you bought two of these Boarding Patrols, you could come up with Terminators vs Genestealers Space Hulk battle, but only on a limited scale. Anyway, it seems weird. The crisis deepens – Angron is loose , Vashtorr is scheming , and Abaddon’s Arks of Omen are voyaging to every corner of the galaxy in search of who knows what. The Imperium is scrambling to regain the upper hand, dispatching boarding parties in a last-ditch attempt to stop the Warmaster’s vile plans. Towards the end of the Horus Heresy, Legions on both sides – but Traitors with by far the most enthusiasm – began to field Esoterists in their armies, Librarians who had dabbled in forbidden lore. Tapping into the power of the warp, these Space Marines use the empyrean as a weapon, tearing holes in reality to fling arcane bolts at their foes and summon hordes of howling daemons. Raven Guard MKVI UpgradesCombat Patrol is the smallest sized game, and this Death Guard force is a great way to start – regardless of whether you want to play an open play game, forge a narrative with a Crusade army, or compete in a matched play mission. If this is the beginning of your first-ever Death Guard army or you're looking at adding to an existing force, this box is ideal. The only problem? Everyone else wants in on the action, and now the whole galaxy is boarding the Arks of Omen in search of glory, treasure, or just a big punch-up. In fact, four more Boarding Patrol boxes are preparing for launch in the near future – and only one of them might be said to have the Emperor’s best interests at heart…

This versatile Boarding Patrol comprises a Tech-Priest Dominus and their loyal bodyguard of 10 Skitarii Vanguard, who can also be built as Rangers. You’ll also find a cadre of five Sicarian Infiltrators – who can also be built as Ruststalkers – and a trio of heavily armed Kataphron Destroyers – which can also be built as Breachers. Boarding Patrol: Chaos DaemonsWell, the value is pretty decent, but again, it comes down to whether you need the units inside. If you don’t need a single unit, the box value goes way down. However, if you need everything inside, you get the 10 Acolyte Hybrids for close to free! Finally, a box without a ton of Poxwalkers! This box is pretty solid as you get a lot of troops but not a giant number of models overall. Acolyte Hybrids/Hybrids are always fun to put on the field, and this has plenty! But again, like the Daemons box, it is a little specific, so if you want Hybrids, this box is awesome; if you don’t, it’s not for you. Death Guard If we cannot deliver the goods within this time we will tell the consumer immediately and agree on another time for delivery.

Alongside that, there are Boarding Action rules for Chaos Daemons, Necrons, Tyranids, Genestealer Cults, the Death Guard, and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Bloated with corruption and sworn to Grandfather Nurgle’s service, the disgusting, rotted bodies of the Death Guard stink of decay, the joints of their armour dribbling putrescent slime that corrodes metal and burns flesh. These horrific disfigurements only enhance their skill as killers – each of Mortarion’s sons is a fearsome warrior who brings death and infection wherever they tread. To discover any foe lurking within a space hulk is a worrying thought, but the Death Guard’s presence is the stuff of nightmares. Alongside them are 2 Obliterators, 10 Chaos Cultists, and a Venomcrawler, as well as 10 Intercessors, 5 Deathwing Terminators, and two Dark Angils Primaris Upgrade frames so you can kit everyone out the way you want. Boarding Patrol Buddies The Aeldari, a latecomer, is currently ranking as the best at 202%. Sad it was released the same day as the 148% Drukhari. These dynamic new sculpts of Faramir, Madril, and Damrod, Rangers of Ithilien were first found in the incredible The Lord of the Rings™ Battle of Osgiliath boxed set. These versatile and mighty heroes are now available together in their own box, each with a choice of ruins or wooded scenery for their base. Gothmog™, Lieutenant of Sauron™ Miniatures Material: Plastic (Please note all miniatures come unpainted as new – some assembly is required) Personally, I think having full 6 Deathshroud is a good idea. It’s really just that second Lord of Virulence. You’ll find a use for the Plague Marines if you’re playing Death Guard. With that in mind, we’re rating this one a Repeat. Here’s the value breakdown of the four new Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrol boxes for Adeptus Mechanicus, Daemons, Genestealer Cults , and Death Guard!
