This could be a potential disaster in an early childhood classroom, especially among children with sensory issues.

I wish my boys had this when they were younger – anything with a cause and effect were such big hits with them! Overall I think it's a fun toy and even my younger toddler enjoys scooting around the floor to follow the caterpillar around. It's a great feeling to be able to take a project from an idea in your head to a real object that does something. Although we’ve only used our Code-a-pillar for a few weeks I can imagine this coding toy can take a bit of a beating. We're pleased to see big toy manufacturers recognize the importance of teaching young kids coding concepts.

However with some adult input a young child can gain lots of additional benefits as they experiment and discover different ways of "coding" it.Find more complex apps, look online together, or go to the library to find books about computer programming.
