Most of the film was shot in anamorphic widescreen befitting the genre, but, for the first time, Pixar explored IMAX through virtual large-format cameras with large sensors, spherical lenses, and a customized pipeline for 30 minutes of footage. Bunny and Ducky are initially antagonistic, as they believe Buzz has come to lower their chances of ever being won and owned by a kid. Like his Toy Story incarnation, Buzz is idealistic and a stickler for procedure, but will tell a cover story if he needs to. He is capable of draining any system or entity driven by electrical power, as well as controlling any machine he bites. But, on a trip to an uncharted planet, Buzz and the crew of the Turnip become stranded on that planet.
