This Woody doll was the same exact one as the initial release, but with some slight changes such as, stamped in buttons, and slightly larger points on the corner of the badge. Later, when Woody encounters Buzz in the persona of Mrs. Nesbit, the additional "Let's go!" can be heard. This can be chalked up to a discrepancy in editing, though it's possible that the figure is meant to have two variations of the line.

The first edition of this Woody doll also contains a pull string ring that's closer to the size of Woody's in the films, but was likely changed for safety reasons as well. The very first pull-string doll featured a removable plastic hat with a faded brim. This release also exchanges the movie version's ragdoll type floppiness for a poseable wired armature. In later releases, this feature was removed along with the sewn-in buttons, because they caused a safety hazard. The version without the armature was released in all subsequent versions of this Woody doll, along with other future pull-string Woody dolls.
