Description

Live in Seoul 2003 was recorded during the band's first show in Seoul, South Korea on October 29, 2003. "One Step Closer" and parts of " Don't Stay" and "Somewhere I Belong" were previously broadcasted in 2003. Footage of this show was also used by Mark Fiore on the video of "Faint" that appeared on the Live In Texas TV special. The full show was previously unreleased. The exact setlist played at this show (with the inclusion of " Nobody's Listening" and "My December") was only played at one other show in the band's history: the Tokyo, Japan show on October 27th. This DVD marks the first release of a full live performance of "Nobody's Listening" and the first release of a live performance of the album version of "My December" in any format. Blender described it as "harder, denser, uglier", [32] while Q described it as "less an artistic endeavor than an exercise in target marketing." [33] Accolades [ edit ]

It’s so surreal to be sitting here 20 years later – and still being able to hear a song from this album play out in my head – by only just reading the title. Not many bands from our lives can have that effect on you, but LP did and still do to this day. Last year, Linkin Park released a 15th anniversary version of their third album ‘Minutes To Midnight’ on streaming. However Delson said that he doesn’t see that as the same as the ‘Meteora’ and ‘Hybrid Theory’ 20th anniversary reissues. Those are really a celebration of the whole experience of the album,” he explained, revealing that there’s still a chance of more previously-unheard Linkin Park music being released. ( April 2017) ( Learn how and when to remove this template message) As soon as we hit ‘Meteora’, the ethos was just to go forward,” said Shinoda. “We didn’t want to be pigeonholed as the ‘Hybrid Theory’ band. We fought that really hard for a decade plus [to the point where] I think there was a friction between us and certain fans who really loved that album. When we started pulling away from that sound and exploring other styles, some people didn’t come along for that ride.” The first list is the list of best-selling domestic albums of 2003 in Finland and the second is that of the best-selling foreign albums:

Live in Texas is the live album recorded in Houston and Irving during the Summer Sanitarium Tour, including the songs that were previously omitted from its original CD release, which would only be featured on the DVD or on LP Underground 3.0. This was the first time the album was made available on vinyl. Sometimes that vulnerability was loud and cathartic, sometimes it was really tender and delicate,” he said. “‘Lost’ has the best of both those elements. Chester is so gentle in the verse that he really draws you in before your face gets melted off by the power of the chorus. There’s a lot of juxtapositions going on with our music, which is what makes things interesting. When things are predictable, they’re not as fun.” Mexicancharts.com – Linkin Park – Meteora". Despite the compilation being named Live Rarities 2003-2004, " Step Up" and " My December" off the " Somewhere I Belong" single are both recorded from a show in 2002. This is because the songs were released in 2003 in the Meteora era, not 2002. The promotion for the album began well ahead before its release, as pictures of the band recording were distributed to the media. To support the album, there were many photo shoots of the band on October 29 at the Ambassador Hotel, where the band took a break from recording the album for two days, for designing the cover art of the album. "The Flem" and "Delta" helped the band for the art works, for the album as well as for the singles spawned by it. A TV commercial for the album was premiered on January 1, 2003. Somewhere I Belong" was released as the first single, premiering on US radio on February 24, 2003. Being released a month before the album release, it influenced the album sales performance worldwide. The second single off the album was " Faint", released before the band started its world tour. The third single " Numb" was released when Linkin Park performed it live in Madrid. " From the Inside" was released as the fourth single off the album before the North American leg of the world tour. " Breaking the Habit" was released while the band was in Indonesia. The album was released with various limited edition content for promotional purposes. It’s about honouring each creative opportunity as it comes along,” said Delson. “It was an embarrassingly haphazard accident that we found ‘Lost’ and it’s like doing as well as it’s doing. There was not a lot of premeditation beyond, ‘This feels good in the moment, let’s honour that’. It was organic and that’s always really served us. We’ve always done our best work when the creative opportunity feels right.” Prior to releasing a second album, the band instead chose to release a remix album, Reanimation, in 2002, produced by band member Mike Shinoda. The experience led the band to want to co-produce their second album, while still working with Gilmore, hoping to expand on the sound of Hybrid Theory with more experimental ideas. [8] In early 2002, after the touring, the writing continued in Mike's home studio, pre-production of the album began there. The band worked in pairs during the writing process, whereas Shinoda was always involved in all the songs. The recording of the songs mainly used Pro Tools, whereas the band used the traditional method of writing, in main studio. In June, pre-production terminated and the band headed for main production. The band finalized Don Gilmore as their producer. When Reanimation was released, the band had started to write the main content. Rob Bourdon spent eight hours a day in the studio for the recording of the album. By August, the band entered NRG Studios as Bennington also began writing songs with the band. This expanded version of ‘Meteroa’ follows on from a similar reissue that came in 2020 to honour Linkin Park’s seminal debut ‘Hybrid Theory’. “This collection has felt more celebratory and there’s been more of a lightness to it because more time has passed [since vocalist Chester Bennington died in 2017],” explained Delson. “‘ Hybrid Theory 20’ felt a lot more raw.”
