The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has today (Wednesday 22 November) announced a range of tax, benefits and savings measures. We round up the key announcements and what they mean for you.

Plaid is predicated on the idea of getting the best deal from Westminster or the best deal from EU subsidies - always within the framework of existing neoliberalism. The Plaid left want to ameliorate the worst effects of neoliberalism but ultimately end up sucumbing to neoliberalism. Really what Wales needs is a workers’ organisation composed of women and men who don’t simply favour one section of the world’s capitalists over another, but are determined to finish with capitalism once and for all and build . . . socialism. That is an important difference between Plaid Cymru and Labour - Plaid is opposed to mudslinging in any directionAnd like it or not, your party has gained a lot of votes and kudos for it's younger AMs' rhetoric around social and environmental justice in recent years. Now you go ahead and boot the likes of Leanne and Bethan out the door. I'm sure you'd get immense satisfaction from it. But any pleasure derived from the sound of their arses hitting the Sennedd steps, and your own deluded hyperbolic condemnation of nasty commies bent on violence and destruction would be shortlived. And this noise would soon be drowned out by the footfall of dissaffected voters following them away from your party. Personally I couldn't give a flying. But then I'm just an 'extremist troublemaker'.

The main story of the UK General Election 2015 is that Britain elected an English Nationalist Government out of fear of what the SNP could do to Britain if it had the balance of power. Earlier this year I predicted that it might, just, be possible for Plaid to gain as many as 9 seats in the next General Election, I also thought that Plaid was on course to gain a second Euro seat next June. But if Plaid can't sort out the infighting in its own heartland with a big announcement that will please traditionalists and show that it has learned its lessons from the May fiasco in Gwynedd, then Adam Price might be a very lonely man in Westminster after the next election, and Jill might be on the dole by July.Of these I cannot imagine any of them joining Llais Gwynedd for obvious reasons, although some of them have voted with Llais on certain issues and in the case of Cllr. Linda Jones, she works well with myself and Cllr.Dafydd Hughes here in Blaenau for the benefit if the coomunity. Seems that Leanne Wood not only gives donations to the Commies, but also speaks at their meetings (is she a member?!?!) Because of demographic change the 2016 Assembly elections could be the very last in which the majority of voters in Wales are Welsh people rather than "the people of Wales". I never hand any suspicions about this one though. Did most people know? Was it an open secret that everyone was complicit in?
