Description

Venus is the ultimate combination of tradition and innovation: the original coffee maker to prepare an authentically aromatic Italian coffee, in a unique design shape also available for induction cooktops. It makes a bit less liquid than aluminum if they are both filled to just below the safety valve (The decanter has plenty of room at the top for more liquid, I don't know why the reservoir is smaller) This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. Moka pot Bialetti Venus 10-cup - Coffee Friend

Bialetti Venus is made with highest-grade 18/10 Stainless Steel, exuding quality, durability and style Using Bialetti Venus is a 100% sustainable way of preparing your coffee, as it produces no waste, is cleaned without detergents and with little maintenance it will last a lifetime. For those preferring a smoother coffee taste, Bialetti’s stainless stove-top pots embody our legendary ease-of-operation in sleek contemporary designs. If your beans are ground more finely, the brew time will take a bit longer because the steam extraction is forced through a more dense grind. DO NOT TAMP THE COFFEE OR RUSH THE BREW PROCESS. 2-3 minutes actual brew time once the coffee starts percolating out of the top chamber port is key. Espresso grind may be too fine for this pot. It should be a bit more coarse but still finely ground. Experiment and take notes on the settings for your particular grinder.Cleaning instructions: Bialetti Venus must only be cleaned by rinsing every component with simple water, do not use any detergent nor put it in the dishwasher, as it damages the product and the taste of your coffee On a side note the replacement filter screen that comes with the gaskets is a cheap aluminum facsimile of the original stainless steel one. AVOID THIS REPLACEMENT PRODUCT. It states it is made in Italy but looks Chinese. You will be disappointed. Perfetto Moka ground coffee is the perfect companion for your Venus pot. Discover all the Bialetti blends, each with its unique taste but all specifically designed for a perfect Moka extraction: the right grounding, the right blend, the best roasting. Perfetto Moka is Made in Italy. Venus is available in 4 sizes: 2-cup 2,8 oz espresso ; 4-cup 5,7 oz espresso ; 6 –cup 7,9 oz, 10-cup 15,5 Oz New Venus sizes are measured in Espresso Cups (1 Oz). Coffee can be enjoyed in Espresso Cups or in larger containers: for example, a 4-cup Venus will fill a mug nicely. I THINK the brew is a little less strong than aluminum. The filler basket may be just a tiny bit smaller. How to use Bialetti Venus: fill it up with ground coffee, close the pot and place it on the stovetop, as soon as Bialetti Venus starts to gurgle, turn the fire off and coffee will be ready

Experience the Italian way of preparing a tasteful coffee with the Bialetti Venus Pot, with its unique shape and long-lasting materials. The historic gentleman with the moustache on its front is a guarantee of the originality and quality of a Bialetti product. Venus is the ultimate combination of tradition and innovation: the original induction-ready Coffee Maker, preparing an authentically aromatic Italian coffee, in a unique design shape Choose your favourite ground coffee (recommended grind level: ground specially for a moka pot and never too fine!). Generously fill the filter of the pot with coffee, but make sure not to press it. If I had to buy another, I would buy stainless again but I might go up to a 9 cup but use less water. I've been using the classic aluminum mokapots for 15 years and have mostly loved them. But they do get nasty after a while and they're hard to clean. (impossible to clean once you've melted the rubber gasket) So I tried a 6-cup stainless version and I like it a lot:

It's sooo easy to clean with a soapy sponge but I usually just rinse it with water and it comes out spotless The man with the moustache is Renato Bialetti, the son of the inventor of the Moka, Alfonso. It was designed in 1953 by the Italian artist Paul Campani At a glance, it looked like any other moka pot. There’s a kind of preciousness to brewing moka pot coffee that I love. It’s more ritualistic than flipping a switch and having your beans prepared in an electric Keurig (no shade; ILY too), and the concentrated flavor is perfect for people who love the smell of espresso, but always find it a little too intense in their bellies. The moka pot brewing method, which was invented and perfected by signore Alfonso Bialetti nearly 100 years ago, creates a flavor profile somewhere in-between the drinkability of drip coffee, and the more assertive aromatic notes of espresso. As others mentioned, on an electric stovetop it is a little slower to cook than the equivalent aluminum (on a gas stove I can't tell the difference) The inner gasket and screen are very secure. The overall fit and finish (and YES it is made in China) are top notch. I’m very impressed with the quality. The design is very appealing and the unit is compact; it will be a constant companion on my counter.

Bialetti - New Venus, stainless steel espresso coffee machine

Made to last: Venus is made of top -grade18/10 Stainless Steel, resistant to high temperatures and maintains its shape and shin over time. Finally, watch the gush of steam and froth at the end of the brew time — if it is too aggressive you risk turning the coffee bitter. Both Peet's® Big Bang whole bean and Lavazza Crema e Gusto (espresso grind) work wonderfully in this unit. In fact, I was surprised that the Peet's gives Lavazza a run for its money, price-wise. Simply a wonderful cup of coffee to look forward to every morning! Now, on to the most important stage – tasting! Your coffee will be even more delicious if you drink it right away. Contrary to what many are saying about initial use, i did wash the individual parts in very hot soapy dishwater and rinsed carefully before i used it for the first time. To be blunt — not following through on this step is just plain gross. You have no idea what this unit went through during the manufacturing process, or how many people handled it and under what conditions. Wash the damn thing in soapy water before you use it. After that, it requires minimal maintenance. The valve is solid - no issues. Some people have complained about a whistling noise; i can state that if you follow the instructions you will not have a problem. The valve itself is manufactured in Italy. Bialetti’s legacy of quality and reliability lives on in these lines of coffee makers crafted in high-quality 18/10 stainless with ergonomic, heat-resistant handles. Now everyone can have the beverages they crave and a look they love. Your Bialetti Venus is cleansed by rinsing every component with simple water. Do not use any detergent. Dishwasher-use is not recommended.
