RECALDENT ® or Casein Phosphopeptide-Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (CPP-ACP) is a unique ingredient derived from naturally occurring protein found in cow’s milk. RECALDENT ® is exported worldwide and used as ingredient in various functional foods and dental products. The CPP-ACP technology is the result of many years of research at the University of Melbourne into the anticariogenic properties of milk. Ultimately, tooth sensitivity is caused by exposed dentin tubules (the nerves that sense pain lie within these parts of the tooth). GC MI Paste Plus

A non-mint fluoride free toothpaste that contains no fluoride and which does contain an alternative remineralising agent. Calcium phosphates (such as hydroxyapatite) help re-harden the tooth surface in a similar way to fluoride. These ingredients are newer than fluoride and are still undergoing long term studies, but are showing a lot of promise. They are normally more expensive than fluoride, but there is lots of evidence supporting their effectiveness. Gum health is key. Avoid gum disease to avoid gum recession.
