When they changed the stat cards across the board to the new style, it gave them the time to look at some of the older cards and decide what needed to be changed. Since the game has been running for a while now, they have a better feel of how to make characters.This adds more game variety and encourages less meta gaming with specific Crisis cards. In general, this helps make games less “spike-y” (haha). In their stream, they specifically said they wanted to stop the idea of “gaming the system”. They want the focus to be on characters!
