The common or popular choice is a good way to start your shopping since chances are they more reliable or pleasant for most shoppers. Talking about popular options, Giro is always one of the most prominent brands in the market and this American brand is indeed the go-to of many for good reasons. We feel like besides the tons of choice they are also providing the option in almost any price range for their customers to match especially for the road cyclist. The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Charged as the spending rendition of Giro Synthe, Giro Cinder MIPS highlights a significant number of the superior highlights of its steady mate, at a sniff of the expense. There is a ladies’ adjustment as well. This is the most important point in our opinion because a helmet must sit well on your head to offer the optimum protection it has; just like how a seatbelt must fit on the passenger’s body. A good fit helmet will feel snug on your head without pressure points and doesn’t move around too but to get the best fit for a different head shape is not something a fixed system can do. This is why usually bike helmets will have an adjustable fit that conforms to head shape. The new Cinder MIPS from Giro shares a lot of technology and styling cues from its top end Synthe model, but considering it comes in at half the price it's certainly a helmet you should put on your 'must try' list. Especially when you take into account how comfortable the fit is. EPS foam can degrade and reduce its structural integrity. However, the Bicycle Helmet Safety InstituteStoring sunglasses in my helmet isn’t something that I do that often, but I did find it a bit annoying that I couldn’t put my glasses anywhere if they kept fogging up. You can put your sunglasses in the vents but they won’t stay nearly as securely in the vents, if at all. Enough clearance, even with the 100% Speedcraft.

You get, as you'd no doubt expect, an expanded polystyrene shell with a polycarbonate shell. Nothing out of the ordinary here but an added bonus is the thermoplastic skeleton that'll keep the helmet together after that initial impact. In the past I've crashed a similar helmet and the skeletal structure certainly held it together, so that if I'd bounced from road to kerb for the secondary clout, my head was likely to have still been protected. Outwardly, the two are very comparative, and keeping in mind that there are little contrasts in the size and state of the vents, the fundamental distinction in wind stream exists in both helmets. Similar to many other road helmets, the overall design of these helmets are very much the same to each other. The half-shell design is enough to cover the top part of the area and as you can expect, when worn they are ending on top of the ears and right the occipital area. We do hope they are a bit different to each other but side by side they are almost identical including how they create the wave lines at the top and the abundant vents.
